Create bootable disc

Use either the menu (Disc Boot options) or in burning dialog, click "boot options" to create a bootable disc.

Then click "make disc bootable".

Now you have to choose your boot image. You can either use one of your own, or the predefinied simple boot image. You can download an additional boot image with most important DOS programs here: http://www.cdburnerxp.se/help/boot.ima

After that, you have to choose the emulation type. Note that the size of the emulated medium has to be at least as big as the boot image you use. Otherwise it won't work.
So for the predefined image you have to use Floppy1_44MB and for the additional downloadable one you have to use Floppy2_88MB. The files which you have added (if any) to the CD layout in CDBurnerXP Pro compilation window does not have any influence on what type you emulation you have to use. You can also choose other boot emulation types if you need them, but usually floppy emulation will do fine.

If you have a bootable ISO-image you want to burn (like you get from BartPE or WindowsUltimateBootDisc), you have to use the burn ISO feature to do that. You don't have to enable any boot option there, this will automatically be done.

Tip: If you enabled boot option, the CD root icon in CD layout will get another symbol. It changes from (boot option off) to (boot option on).
